About this BLOG Project

This BLOG(Barkada log) Project was introduced by our English teacher, Sir Elmer. For me, this is very easy if only we make an entry every 2 days or any style you want, just make sure you won't waste your time sitting, playing computers games, chatting with friends and so much.
Having a blog is very fun and educational for me cause not only you can enhance your typing skills and your ability in making entries, you could also learn so many stuffs like putting cool back grounds, avatars and so much more which is connected to this blog. The reason why I also love this is because whenever you have still time lest after your blog, I can still use the extra time to research in our assignments or other projects or have fun by playing computer games, chatting, watching you tube and so much more. You can also use the extra time to customize your account.
Many of my classmates complain about this BLOG Project because you have to make 5 entries per week and every entry you have needs to have 500 words or above, but who is really to blame, us or the teacher?
Well if you ask me, I think the one that is to blame is ourselves. For I always say to myself that I'll just make this later and that later becomes tomorrow and that tomorrow becomes next week and so on( I think that some of my classmates has this kind of habit). If I have only made 3 entries per week during those days, I would not be writing this blog at a very late time. Because of this project, I have to skip studying other subjects just to finish this blog and I have to sleep very late but I can understand other people that does not really want this project for this is very expensive and can affect our health very much. Sometimes, I get angry to the people saying that this project is expensive yet they always rent computer's at a long period of time just to play Internet games.
I wish the people reading this entry will understand why I wrote this kind of entry. This is only for their own good. I really think that some of my advices here will really help you in making this blog project but is this blog really important in our subject? Mostly, some people say that this is not important, for the lessons in English are supposed to be about nouns, verbs, pronouns and so much more about words and not about cool back grounds and many entries.
Yes, these blog maybe educational and it can enhance you skills in typing but, what if you are a poor student, very poor that you have to collect garbage just to have something to eat by selling this garbage to the dump site and you would walk a kilometer just to get to school, would you be happy about this or you prefer the simple lessons given by teachers that uses books.

Unforgettable Sinulog Celebration

This story of mine happened when I was still a Gr. 5 student in my Alma Matter, Punta Princessa Elementary school. Many things really happened to me which were very dangerous for me.
I had two experiences, the first happened in the Abellana Sports Complex for our practice in the Sinulog. I really has no experiences in going back and forth so my mother told me to wait for her. We practiced there for 5 consecutive hours and after the practice, everybody was already starting to go home except me. I was very tensed at those times for it was already dawn, at those times, I already made three choices; look for help, stay there and wait for my mom or go home without any supervision.
I did not choose the first choice I had for if I did, they would think that my parents are irresponsible. My 2nd choice was the best one but I choose the 3rd one for I was not wise enough. Good thing for me, I managed to memorize some things that can tell if am I still on the right side of the road or not while riding in the jeep. At that time, I made 6 J-walkings for I did not know that this was a crime. As my distance from Abellana got longer, I got more tensed for I no longer see the signs I saw while I was on the jeep. After 30 minutes of walking, I decided to rest for a while. At those times, I already wanted to breakdown but suddenly, an old lady came near me beg for food. I was able to give a rice in a plastic, I had no other food to give to the poor lady. After I gave her the food, I made up a good idea, I went back to the places I have past and fortunately, I found Dr. Uy's clinic which made me very happy for I already knew where to go. I walked for 1 hour but I did not mind how long the time and the place is, all that matters for me at that time was to get home. On my way home, I met my fat classmate Ercel and gave me a treat. When I reached home, I immediately lay down our bed.
After the Sinulog Mardigra, our parish made a parade, the drummers of our Sinulog and of the parish were the same so I really followed them. I was with my friends at those time but I did not notice that after few minutes, they have already went back home leaving me behind. We passed by a dark river bank for there were no people living there, but I was not afraid for we were many at those times. When I noticed that I no longer see the faces of my friends, I started to be restless. I asked the drummers if they will still go back to the parish but they said no. This gave me no choice but to pass the dark river bank. I took off my slippers so my speed would be added and I brought a piece of wood in case if there are dogs, snakes and I also waited for a car to pass by to give me light. One car passed by and I automatically followed the car and the driver of that particular car was shocked when he saw me running so fast in a middle of a dark place. Luckily I was able to come back home for dinner.
I think that the patron, Sr. Santo Nino is really testing my braveness and fortunately, I was able to past the test.

My Elementary Life 2(IV,V and VI)

This is already the half of my elementary years and because of this, I really have joined many activities for time is just short for a silly kid like me.
In Gr. IV , our section name was Respectful. Remember our team RANJ, that them did no longer exist for the A of our team, Androd was no longer our classmate but our friendship and skills remained the same. A new Era was already beginning for we, my classmates during Gr. 4, were not classmates in Grades 1,2 and 3 because we were divided into two sections, i also found new set of friends, and my friends were Ronald, Christian and James. Christian and James, were very new to me for we were not classmates except for now. Christian is a good boy but gets irritated very fast and James is a fat intelligent guy and has a really good talent in telling jokes. There was one time I choked because of his silly jokes and as I have noticed, every time we would stop laughing, Christian would say that there was an angel that past in front of us which makes me chill and shaky for a moment.
The games that were popular at those time was “Labu-labu” and a game that we originally created by us, the “Matrix-matrix”.
“Labu-labu” is a game where you can use any palm size ball and then you try to hit a person involed in the game with this ball. There was a time were we played this game after the rain, the ground was really wet and muddy but this time, our enemies where the higher years. All of my classmates uniform, including mine, got dirty because whenever someone gets the ball, he then puts the ball on the mud and then hit it to another person. It was fun even though we did not even hit a single enemy on their uniform.
“Matrix matrix” is just similar to the previous game but this one really needs teamwork.
One year after, we became Gr. 5 students and Mam. Loperez was our teacher. She was really a brutal teacher, know why? Just read this, she was recording our grades and whenever she calls a student, the student the feeds back to her their grades and every time someone say his grade, we would then say the word “TY”. We did that for several time and we did not notice that she was already angry. My classmates stopped but I did not which made her very angry and threw keys at me but fortunately, I managed to dodge it.
Nothing much really did happen except the graduation day. I thought that I would be happy because I will no longer see their faces again specially the bullies. Few days after the Graduation, that was only the time that I realized that they were really important to me.
How I wished that I could go back to time and maximize the time where we were still friends but where ever they may be, near or far, they will be always in my heart.

Soccer: My Sport

Soccer was created during the Han dynasty in china, 200 BC. This game was originally Tsu Chu (Tsu means to kick while Chu denotes to a ball made of leather). As time goes by, the game and its name changes like any other game does. In America and English speaking countries, this game is called soccer but in elsewhere, this is called FUTBALL. This is also the only game where you can use every part of your body to hit the ball, except you hands. Only the goalkeeper can use his hands during a game. The strikers or the forwards make the goal while the last men and goalkeeper tries to defend their goal area. The midfielder plays both last men and as forwards.
The reasons why I love this game is not only it is the most popular game in the world, it only requires less rules which can make you move your body any way you like and SIZE does not matter.
The best forward for now is Rhomphete while the best goalkeeper is Amil in our school, both of them are third year students. I have an aim to be the best midfielder or best last man.
Soccer may be fun but sometimes, it can also hurt you in many ways. For example, Goerge hit the ball so hard that when the ball hit my “BALLS”, I was on the floor trying not to shout for there were students taking their tests. Another is when you have a team mate that is very shelfish during a game or practice (in dialect, we call this kind of guys buaya). Like “Mr. Croc”, he always shows off his skills and whenever we have practices, he asks for a ball to come near him, he doesn’t get it for himself. He really has a lot of pride for himself and it is also because of him why I was not able to play soccer in the intramurals which made me very depressed and discouraged. They lost there game during the intramurals because of his selfishness, good for him.
For 3 consecutive months, I was not able to play soccer for I vowed to myself not to play soccer any more until Sir. Salera, our PE teacher said to us that we would have a tournament against ourselves. We were divided into 4 groups and the teams are the following:
White Madrid: team Capt. Andre
Members: Louei
Ian
George
John R.
Black Hawk Down: team Capt. Me, John J
Members: Jay
Rieland
Jade
Fidel
Elmar
Blue Jeans: team Capt. Nikolai
Members: Raul
Kevin
Reiner
Rary
Ariel
De Greenation X: team Capt. Psalm
Members: Paolo
Jhul
Dan
Raymark
Our team was not that strong but because we believed in one another’s abilities, we were able to win the championship in the round 1 undefeated.
After the tournament, Sir announced to us that there will be another tournament but this time, our enemies will be the higher years. Each year level will be divided into two groups, Team A(the ROOKIES) and the Team B(the BIGGENERS).
We really had a big chance on winning the championship if only Fidel did not forget what he learned from the other games but it was just OK, we still won 3rd price and we had better results than of team A.
So, therefore I conclude that the important thing in a team is not the MVP, not the coach but the team itself and its teamwork.

My Imagination

Imagining is one of my favorite hobbies, just by imagining, you can go every where you like, do anything you like and be anything you like but other things are not really meant to be imagined just to do something bad (I think you know what I mean).
For now, my mind centers on someone special, and that someone is “Miss MGDA”, the girl of my life for now. She’s always on my mind and because of this; I just can’t prevent imagining her. One of the things I imagine about her is she and I playing internet games together or chatting with each other. Another is both of us are warriors and we are trying to save the Earth from vicious out laws! But she is not the only one I imagine, there are a lot of things in my mind, and every imagination I have has a purpose. For example, I sometimes imagine if I only had super powers, I can be able to kill or change the habits of the gangsters, hold uppers, snatchers and so much more. Another is I imagine that if I were the president, I would have done a lot of good things, I would make projects that would improve our country’s economy. I can also dictate senators to stop there commercial ads, instead, they would rather use the money to help the people that are in need. Why? Let me explain, there are 12 senatorial candidates and each of them uses 200 million pesos or more just to make a commercial ad so, 12 times 200 million is more then enough to help the poor people in the country.
I can really say that I really have a nice imagination but because of this my parents and relatives sometimes say that I’m a little bit crazy. One of their references was during my young age, I use to dream what other kids would dream but the thing is, every dream I have, fear comes into my heart and after my dream, I suddenly will cry not knowing the reason why. I can’t call these dreams a nightmare because these are not really scary. I have experienced this for 5 times but the most mind twirling dream that I had was the 3rd one. My dream was like this, I was wearing a inspectors suit with an magnifying glass. I was looking for something then suddenly, a hair from a book caught my attention. Curiously, I pulled the hair off and suddenly, there were a lot of things around me and after that, I cried so hard that it woke my mother up in the middle of the night. She gave me a rosary but I kept on saying that I don’t need anything.
Because of this incidents, some of my relatives concluded that I need someone to analyze me but I’m not really crazy, I’m just a little unwell. I know you don’t care but soon enough your goanna think of me, the different side of me.
For now, I just hope that my relatives would stop thinking that I’m a little of crazy because it is already hurting me and I to myself must lessen the level of my imagination.
I also hope that my imagination for our good of our country will come true not only in my dreams but also in reality by helping one another fulfill their dreams.

My Elementary Life 1(Gr. I,II and III)

Oh, my elementary years, it was all fun and everything. Running from corner to corner in the room and interacting with my fellow classmates. In my former school, PPES (Punta Princessa Elem. School), many things happened to me which I will never forget. The reason why I always keep these memories because every important event that has happened to me, it gives me many lesson which I have learned through this events.Back when I was still a Grade I pupil, our section name was Gentleness and Mam. Sabado was our adviser. I can’t possibly forget her for she was the one who let me ate my paper airplane. She made me that kind of stuff because while we were praying, I was making that paper airplane; I guess I really did deserve that treat. After on e year, I became a Gr. II student and our section name was Self-Reliance. This was the year I first got attracted to a girl; her name was Fatima Grace Go, she was as pretty as Cinderella for me but this was not the most memorable thing, it was when our teacher came while I was sleeping. She said to my classmates not to wake me up, she will only do it by her self. Know what she did? She used her large voice to say this phrase, “Hala nay ungo” which made me awake and I raise my hand up and said “Mam!”. I was really humiliated at that time but still, I was a little bit happy about it. Grade III was fun but the next year was more fun. Our section name was Grateful and this was the time where the great “RANJ” was created. RANJ stands for:R-Ronald has the ability to bend his body low enough to evade enemies’ attacks.A-Androd is the fastest and the most fearless runner in our team.N-Nathaniel has the ability to scare off enemies.J-Jaasiel, me; I have the ability to evade attacks by going beside near objects then I try to loose them by turning left and right. Our group was the best when it comes to the game “Bahaw-bahaw” and “Pulis-pulis”. Even if our enemies are 6-8, they don’t have a match on us because we were the fastest and the slickest group in our batch but unfortunately, our team only lasted for a year because Androd was no longer our classmate but our skills and friendship never died until now, maybe.
This was also the year where I started to play soccer. As usual, Andre was the best player in our batch. My first heading, the skill in using the head in hitting the ball, really made me dizzy for the ball hit the upper part of my head which is supposed to be hit by the forehead. The ball bounced so hard that its bounce was higher than an electric post.
This 1st ,2nd ,and 3rd year in my school was fun but the other succeeding years were simply awesome.

Friends

What kind of friends do you have? What do you do? What is your group name?
Here in UP high school, specially the Freshes, there are a lot of set of friends her not fraternities. These groups are the:
The Artiztaz: Is said to be composed of sossy people.
Likes to talk about actors/actresses and movies.
VIP: Composed of “lahugers”, students that graduated from Lahug Elementary
School.
Delegates: Composed of silly but intelligent students.
Buntis Five: Composed of 5 students from Villamor those are very naughty.
Loves to play soccer.
Beat the Geeks: Composed of Pokemon lovers.
Makes codenames in criticizing someone.
BHS: A group of mixed up personalities.
This is where I belong.
(Note: These groups are only in the 1st years)
Each group has its own spots; it is where the group hangs out. Unlike fraternities, whenever a group meets another group, they just say hi to each other. These groups are made to know where you belong. For example, Jade loves playing Pokemon games so he belongs to the group “Beat the Geeks”.
The craziest group for me is our group, BHS, for this is the only group where fights and quarrels mostly occur due to our diff. personalities. The members are:
Jay, AKA “wadac”: A silent but silly kind of guy, doesn’t reveals his secrets even though you will beg to him.
Rieland, AKA “durian”: A super rich but fat and smelly guy that uses money to tempt my fellow group mates.
Paolo, AKA “taulava”: A small but terrible guy. Has good looks and likes to collect and select girls.
Raymark, AKA “talong”: A good guy very hard to communicate with.
Fidel, AKA “babuy”: A smart but corny kind of guy.
Me, AKA “itlog”: A good guy that gets angry easily.
Our group really loves teasing people even by ourselves which causes big and small problems. There was one time where Paolo teased me so much that I punched his bag so hard, it was hard enough to break his pens. Few minutes later, he reported me to the adviser which scolded us both. Another was when I was so irritated to Rheena’s voice which made me tell something bad to her. After that conflict, she reported me to the Student Welfare, and know what happened? Mdm. Gallo told me to shake hand with her which made me very embarrassed because she is a girl and I am a boy. After the hand shaking, my classmates said to me that I had a crush on her even though it is not true, she may be beautiful and all but I have already someone in my heart for now, this someone is “Miss MGDA”. It was still fun even though I was humiliated. I guess all I can do for now is to avoid teasing people who doesn’t want to be bothered.
Though it all, the rise and fall, we, my friends, still managed to be relaxed and confident in everything that we do and we were able to go on with our friendship.
Teasing with other people specially your friends might be fun but don’t try to tease them when they are not in mood or your face might be destroyed.

My Love Affair With MV DOULOS

MV Doulos which was built and constructed in 1914 and is only two years younger than the Titanic docked on Pier 1, Gate Entrance her in Cebu. It carried and conveyed six thousand book titles across the oceans and reached different parts of the globe and world. MV Doulos holds the title, the “World’s Largest Floating Book Fair”. It had three hundred fifty volunteers from 50 countries which live and work together onboard. Doulos aimed and seek to bring knowledge, help and hope to the nations. Since 1977, Doulos has visited more than one hundred countries, welcoming over 19 million visitors onboard. Doulos carried a stock of half a million books for sale, covering subjects such as Science, Education, Sports, Cookery, History, Technology, Photography, Christian Living, a wide range of Children’s Literature and others. On the 12th day of February 2007, University of the Philippines (High School Department) decided to explore the beauty of MV Doulos. We shared a lot of fun and amusement together with the Doulos books and the international crews and staffs. I was very happy for those times because that was my second time to be in a ship. They were selling mouth watering deserts but I did not buy anything because I had no money. We read different informative books, which contained a lot of knowledge, awareness to the community etc., and they really added to the person’s range of information. The books for me was very expensive so I just came there watching books. There were also Doulos key chains, mugs, pencils, notebooks etc. which served as a souvenir. We also enjoyed the natured view at the top of the ship. The Doulos international crews and staffs introduced their selves to us and share their experiences as they tour and travel around the world. We also enjoyed the games they organized and the prizes waiting for the winner. We watched on screen on how they surpassed the difficulties and on how they work and depend on each other as they journeyed our world. They really worked hand on hand to make their travel successful. They also gave us magazine and booklet entitled, “Book of Hope (Customized animation Edition) and ‘The Most Important Story Ever Told”. They believed on their slogan, “Take a Look at God’s Book, start the greatest adventure of tour life! I really enjoyed reading those booklets, which pushed me to have a stronger connection and fate to our Almighty Jesus Christ.
It was a great experience that I able to enter the “World’s Largest Floating Book Fair”, the MV Doulos and on the other hand, it was also a great opportunity that I met its international crews and staffs who managed the journey of MV Doulos around the world.. Moreso, Doulos books helped to enhance my stored knowledge and also, I learned some knowledgeable informations on different fields like the book of magic tricks, the tricks there were very effective even though it needs less effort.
I really thank the lord for making that day very memorable to me.
